Merry Meet,

I am Audra; Lady Rwn, of the Norse Wiccan Community Church (NWCC)and Our Lady Of Wisdom Coven (OLOW).  OLOW opens their membership only during the light half of the year for folks who are interested in pursuing their path in the Wiccan/Pagan Mysteries. Invitations to NWCC observances during the dark half of the year can be received by request.

We host public New Moon Rites with the goal of facilitating knowledge, friendship, fellowship and ritual in a safe environment. Please come and introduce yourself! We would love to meet you.

We also offer a course of study with a working coven and church (location will be disclosed to serious inquiry) that will take you through the degree system toward ordination. Your ordination certificate is an EARNED, credentialed and legally recognized document for application for a ministerial license.

Thank you for your interest and if you have any questions the content of this website can not answer or if you would like to inquire about joing us, please see the "Contact Us" page for contact information. We hope we hear from you soon.

Some details below and more are forthcoming.

Blessed be,

Lady Rwn

How do you enter the circle?

From the Norse Wiccan Community Church; through its affiliated covens; emerge leaders and teachers of the craft. We adhere to a very strict regime of study and protocol to ensure that those who enter the community as pagan clergy ordained through our church show responsibility, respect, tolerance and love for those they meet and for their duties as priests and priestesses of the craft and if so earned; as pagan clergy. All Covenors of OLOW must fully commit themselves to our statement of purpose listed on the home page of this website. All students are expected to adhere to it in their beliefs, their activities and all other aspects of their lives not matter what their degree status. This is not the path for all but it is a wonderfully rewarding one.

Those considering entering OLOW as a new dedicant and student, should contact HPs Lady Rwn. Her contact information is located on the "Contact Us" page of this website. This is the first step.

The second step would be to formally request in writing (email accepted) to attend the 3 Esbat rites you are required to attend before dedication. This request should tell us about yourself, your path, how you came to know of OLOW and what your plans are for the future. We ask all interested parties to attend 3 esbat rites before making the decision to join OLOW or not.

After attending 3 esbats rites, if you wish to join OLOW, you must make a request in writing to be dedicated.

As a student of OLOW, you would have the choice of working through a three degree system toward ordination. No student is required to earn their degrees or become ordained, that is a personal choice. Therefore, there is no time limit to earning your degrees and the student must request their degrees in writing from their teacher and the HPs. A new dedicant can not request their first degree until they have passed the date following one year and one day from their dedication into OLOW.

Qualifications:  Membership shall be offered to individuals upon recommendation of the High Priestess and High Priest, and consensus of all Initiates (full members) of the coven.  No person shall be denied access to membership on the basis of gender, race, ethnic background, sexual preference, physical handicap, or age; providing they have attained the age of 13.

Minors: If a person under the age of 18, request entry into the Coven, they must get consent, in writing, from a parent, and the High Priestess MUST meet with the parent face-to-face before any teaching will begin with said minor.

Open and closed membership: Membership to OLOW as a student or a covenor is open from Ostara until Samhain; during the light half of the year. Membership is closed during the dark half of the year, Samhain through Ostara. Those wishing to "check us out" or just attend open Sabbat rituals during the dark half of the year may request an invitation. Those wishing to attend open Esbat rituals may check this websites event page for the next open Esbat Rite date.

"We expect no more or less from anyone, than we expect from ourselves."

In perfect love and perfect trust.

Earning your degrees:

Several qualifications must be met at each level of our degree system. Each initiate receives a syllabus which coordinates with their current degree. The assignments outlined in the syllabus reflect the knowledge the initate is expected to aquire before they move on to the next degree level. In addition to the syllabus, initiates are also required to do other things, such as service to the pagan and mundane community, perform certain rituals and become first-aid certified; these depend on the the level of the initiates degree.
